The UAE satellite provider trusted by maritime crews, relief workers, and enterprise teams in the world's most remote places.

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Thuraya operates two geosynchronous satellites providing voice, data, and broadband connectivity across more than 161 countries — covering Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and the Asia-Pacific. Where terrestrial networks end, Thuraya begins.

The company serves a broad range of audiences: maritime operators managing vessels at sea, enterprise and government organisations working in the field, humanitarian relief agencies operating in disaster zones, media teams broadcasting from remote locations, and leisure travellers seeking connectivity off the beaten path. Each audience brings distinct needs, workflows, and priorities — making clear, use-case-led communication essential to the digital experience.
